Tried and True, Meets Something New -- at the annual Asian Summer Festival

Thousands of people converged in Madison's Reindahl Park this weekend (8/27-28/05), for the Asian Summer Festival. The annual event typically draws in visitors and participants from all over the U-S, to honor the Hmong, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Chinese cultures among others. And while promoters emphasize the festival's traditional Asian songs and activities, the influence of 21st century-Americana is hard to miss. Brian Bull prepared this report....
