Wisconsin Public Radio's special holiday music programming will be heard
on stations of the NPR News and Classical Music Network.

Wednesday, December 12th 1-1:30pm Chicago Early Music Consort: A Renaissance Christmas
Presented by Midsummer's Music in December, 2005, and featuring soprano Stephanie Sheffield, recorder soloist Gary Berkenstock, lutenist Joel Spears and viola da gamba soloist Phillip Serna
 
Sunday, December 16th 10am-12pm St. Olaf Christmas Festival
One of the oldest holiday celebrations in the United States; more than 550 students at the St. Olaf campus in Northfield, Minnesota
 
Sunday, December 23rd 12:30pm The Master Singer's Christmas Concert
Gary R. Schwartzhoff conducts "All This Night My Heart Rejoices," a concert recorded December 8, 2006
 
Monday, December 24th 9 - 11am A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
Michael Barone hosts the annual live broadcast from King's College in Cambridge, England
 
Monday, December 24th 1-2pm Welcome Christmas!
The annual concert from Phillip Brunelle and VocalEssence.
 
Tuesday, December 25th 9-11:45am Bach's Christmas Oratorio
Karl Richer; conductor, with the Munich Bach Choir and Orchestra, soprano Gundula Janowitz, contralto Christa Ludwig, tenor Fritz Wunderlich and bass Franz Crass
 
Tuesday, December 25th 1-2pm The Rose Ensemble: Christmas in Elizabethan England
Motets and anthems performed by the Twin Cities- based Rose Ensemble.
 
Wednesday, December 26th 9-11am Music of the Baroque Christmas Special
Peter Van De Graff hosts the annual concert, featuring brass and choral works from the 16th and 17th centuries.
 
Tuesday, January 1st, 2008 10am-12pm New Year's Day from Vienna
NPR and WGBH's Cathy Fuller take us to the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna for the most popular classical music concert in the world, the Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Day concert, conducted this year by Georges Prêtre.
