Monday, November 5, 2007 - Norman and Vicki interview pianist Valentina Lisitsa who will perform on Sunday, November 4th, 2007 with violinist Hilary Hahn at the Wisconsin Union Theater and at a recital on November 5th at Farley’s House of Pianos in Madison. She is a graduate of the famed Kiev Conservatory and has won numerous international prizes. During this interview, Lisitsa plays several pieces live from WPR's Studio One.

Thursday, October 18, 2007 - Norman and Vicki interview cellist Steven Isserlis who will be performing with the Madison Symphony Orchestra at Overture Hall from Friday through Sunday, October 19-21. His program will include the Berlioz Overture to Benvenuto Cellini, Schumann's Cello Concerto and Brahms' Symphony No. 1.

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 - Norman and Vicki interview concert organist Thomas Trotter who’ll perform with the Madison Symphony Orchestra in its season opener in Overture Hall the weekend of September 28th.
The program will include Barber's Toccata Festiva, the Debussy Nocturnes, the Sibelius Symphony No. 7 and Guilmant's Symphony No. 2 for Organ and Orchestra.

Monday, August 21, 2007 - Norman and Vicki interview John Harbison, Artistic Director of the Token Creek Chamber Music Festival.

They discuss and listen to recordings of past festival performances This year's festival runs from August 18-26 and offers music by Bach and Haydn, and an evening of Jazz called "Player's Choice".

Thursday, July 19, 2007 - Norman and Vicki interview tenor James Schaffner and music director Gary McKercher discuss the Madison Savoyards double bill production of Burnand & Sullivan's Cox & Box and Gilbert & Sullivan's The Sorcerer at Music Hall from July 20-29 on the UW-Madison campus. The interview and performances were live from WPR's Buck Studio and included pianist Ted Reinke.

Madison Early Music Festival

Monday, July 9, 2007 - Norman and Vicki interview soprano Ellen Hargis and artistic director Cheryl Bensman Rowe about the Madison Early Music Festival being held July 7-14 at the UW-Madison. The festival consists of seven concerts and features artists-in-residence Fortune's Wheel, The King's Noyse, Piffaro, and recorder virtuoso Marion Verbruggen.

Thursday, April 19, 2007 - Norman and Vicki interview conductor Edo de Waart and pianist Per Tengstrand who will be performing with the Madison Symphony Orchestra April 20, 21 & 22, 2007. Edo de Waart is currently chief conductor and artistic director of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Swedish Pianist Per Tengstrand performs with orchestras through the world.

Wednesday, April 11, 2007 - Norman and Vicki interview trumpet artist Christopher Moore, professor of trumpet at Florida State University. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music. Moore will play with the Green Bay Civic Symphony in their final season concert on Saturday, April 14 entitled, "Trumpeting the Stone," a concerto dedicated to the Oneida People of Wisconsin.

Friday, March 30, 2007 - Norman and Vicki interview the Quartet San Francisco who are playing at Lutheran College in Milwaukee on Friday, March 30th, and the Ringling Theatre in Baraboo on Saturday, March 31st. The Grammy-nominated Quartet delivers a mixture of "genre-bending" chamber music.

McDuffie has appeared as soloist with many of the major orchestras of the world. He discusses his background in Georgia, his recent appearances and how he obtained the famous 1735 Guarneri del Gesu violin that he plays.

Friday, February 21, 2007 - Norman Gilliland interviews violinist Rachel Barton-Pine who is performing with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra in Madison on February 23, the Ripon College Symphony on March 30, and the Milwaukee Symphony on March 13-14. Rachel Barton-Pine has appeared with many prestigious orchestras including the Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, Dallas, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Montreal, Vienna, New Zealand and Iceland Symphonies.
