Denyce Graves. She made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in the 1995-96 season in the title role of Carmen.
She is currently on tour throughout the United States. She performs with the Madison Symphony Orchestra at Overture Hall
in Madison on November 3-5.

Wednesday, October 19th, 2006 - Norman and Vicki talk to Russian concert pianist Olga Kern. Kern was the
Gold Medal winner of the 2001 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and made her New York City
debut in Carnegie's Zankel Hall in 2004. She is currently on tour throughout the U.S including the Wisconsin Union Theatre in Madison.

Karlos Moser. The interview focused on his three song cycles interpreting the love poetry of Cavafy, Rumi and Hafiz. Moser and his

Thursday, October 12th, 2006 - Norman talks with composer and double-bassist Edgar Meyer
who is playing with the Madison Symphony Orchestra from October 13-15th.
In 2000 Edgar Meyer became the only bassist ever to receive the Avery Fisher Prize. He is currently the Visiting Professor
of Double Bass at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
