Today marks the start of “Young Professionals Week” in Wisconsin, an effort to show companies and young workers that the state is an attractive place to live and do business. The event’s organizer is with us to discuss its goals and what young professionals bring to the economy. The Director of the Rotary Botanical Gardens in Janesville is also with us to discuss the colorful landmark and share ideas for our gardens as the growing season begins. We also take a look at President Trump’s efforts to get Congressional approval to fund one of his most controversial campaign promises: constructing a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump Pushes For Border Wall Funding As Government Shutdown Risk Looms
President Trump has promised to build a wall on the United States’ southern border–and have Mexico pay for it–since he announced his candidacy. Now, the President is pressing members of Congress to approve funding for the wall in a stopgap funding measure or risk government shutdown. An expert joins us to talk about the likelihood of getting Congressional approval to fund construction of the border wall.
