The U.S. State Department held a public hearing in Bemidji on Tuesday on its draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement of a pipeline expansion across the U.S. – Canadian border. Canadian firm Enbridge Energy needs a Presidential Permit to send up to 800,000 barrels of oil per day across the border through its Line 67 or Alberta Clipper pipeline. Danielle Kaeding reports.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is investigating “chemicals of concern” that were discovered in Newton Creek in Superior. DNR biologists have been monitoring the creek since they discovered fish deformities there last year. Danielle Kaeding reports.

Wisconsin ranked 32nd among all states in private sector job growth according to the latest “gold standard” job numbers released by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. Shawn Johnson reports.
