Hartford Student Arrested After Social Media Threat

Firearms Seized From 19-Year-Old Suspect

A Hartford Union High School Student was arrested in Kettle Moraine Forest Tuesday afternoon after posting threats on social media. Officers went looking for the 19-year-old when he didn’t show up for school Tuesday morning.

Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department deputies seized firearms in the student’s possession when he was arrested at about 1:45 p.m. He was charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful use of computers.

According to a press release from the Hartford Police Department, the suspect posted a menacing picture and plans for violence at the school Tuesday morning. Hartford Union High School classes were canceled in the afternoon, but the school later reopened for evening activities.
