  • Airline Passenger Rights

On Sunday evening security officers forcibly removed a passenger on a United flight from Chicago to Louisville. United apparently asked volunteers to leave the overbooked flight to make room for United staff members who needed seats. When no one offered, the airline told the man and his wife they had been randomly selected to get off the flight. The man was a doctor and apparently said he needed to work at the hospital the next day, according to witnesses. Other passengers took videos as three security agents removed him from his seat, and physically dragged him down the aisle off the flight. We talk to an aviation attorney about this situation and what rights airline passengers can expect.
