Chelsea Clinton Stumps For Her Mom In The Twin Ports

Chelsea Clinton — the daughter of former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — stopped in the Twin Ports Monday to rally some support for her mother’s presidential bid.

Around 50 supporters turned out to hear Chelsea Clinton speak at the Minnesota Education Office in Duluth. The event came just a day before Minnesota holds its Republican and Democratic presidential primaries, joining 11 other states who are holding primary elections for Super Tuesday.

Clinton said that her mother has the experience needed to take on the presidency and come out ahead on Super Tuesday.

“My mother has a really good shot because she has stronger plans and she has a much stronger record of actually being a real change-maker,” said Clinton.

Superior resident Pat Olson said the time is right for a woman president. She said Clinton stands the best chance of beating the Republican nominee.

“She can do it,” Olson said.

In a new CNN/ORC nationwide poll, Clinton leads challenger Bernie Sanders 55 to 38 percent, while Republican frontrunner Donald Trump leads with 49 percent of the vote.
