World leaders are meeting in Paris for talks on how to handle climate change, but back home, Wisconsin and 24 other states are suing the Environmental Protection Agency over its Clean Power Plan. Our guest argues that the current EPA regulations are unconstitutional.   • The Case Against The EPA's Clean Power Plan

    The first week of the Paris climate conference is coming to a close. While Obama has returned to Washington, his administration will continue working through next week to try to reach a global agreement on cutting carbon emissions.

    The largest component of Obama’s Climate Action Plan, what he is offering to foreign leaders to show his commitment, is the Clean Power Plan. The EPA released the plan earlier this year, setting targets for each state in the country to reduce carbon emissions by 2030.

    In Wisconsin, the goal is to reduce emissions to 34 percent below their 2012 levels. In response, two dozen states, including Wisconsin, have filed suit in a pending case to block the regulations.

  • Author Says Kids Need More Complex, Diverse TV And Book Options

    Many of today’s TV shows and children’s books aren’t giving kids enough credit when it comes to what they can understand. That’s according to an author, and co-creator of the show “Blue’s Clues.” He says kids need complex, diverse TV and book options to help them grow…and they’re not getting those options in much of today’s media landscape.
