I met my husband quite by accident and fate. I was getting ready for work
one morning and I had just finished curling my hair with a curling iron.
As part of my usual ritual, I unplugged the curling iron and threw it on
my bed.
I took off my robe and sat on the bed to put on my underwear. As soon as
I felt my searing flesh I realized what I had done, (burnt my butt big
time!). During the day the burn had obviously blistered up and I knew I
would need some sort of professional help for healing. Too embarassed to
go to a physician, I went to a pharmacy to find out what I could put on a
burn for comfort. I was in an aisle trying not to be noticed when a
pharmacist asked if I needed help. I didn't even look up at him and just
hearing his voice, I knew I would love this guy standing there. He asked
to see the burn I had to tell him where it was. Embarassingly we both
laughed. He directed me to neosporin and gauze bandages and I left the
pharmacy with a crush.
I frequented the pharmacy for the next two weeks to see him and try to get to know him more. He was very shy and I finally had to ask him out. I asked him to a baseball game, we dated 9 months, got married, and after 17 years of marriage we have 4 kids and are still in love....most days!
Sincerely,
