Ever dream of finding buried treasure? In this hour
of To the Best of Our Knowledge, real-life treasure hunters
like the two small-time prospectors who risked their lives in the
Canadian tundra, and found one of the world's biggest diamond mines.
Also, hunting for dinosaur bones in the Gobi desert. And how to
join in the armchair treasure hunting craze.

Leigh and Leslie Keno are identical
twin brothers and antiques appraisers. They've worked for
Christie's and Sotheby's in New York and appear frequently
on the PBS program, "Antiques Roadshow."

The Keno brothers are also the authors
of "Hidden Treasures: Searching for Masterpieces of
American Furniture." They talk with Jim Fleming about
their lifelong love affair with treasure hunting. Also,
Shaun Whitehead is a veteran treasure hunter. He's
also the author of a current unsolved hunt called "Smuggler's
Gold". Shaun tells Anne Strainchamps about his quests
for treasure and his treasure-hunting club. Shaun's club

| Journalist Kevin Krajick is the author
of the book, "Barren Lands." It tells the story
of geologists Chuck Fipke and Stew Blusson, a couple
of small-time prospectors who went looking for diamonds in
the Canadian tundra. As Krajick tells Jim Fleming, they found
everything they could have possibly wished for. Also, Michael
Novacek is a paleontologist at the American Museum of
Natural History. He's also the author of "Time Traveler:
In Search of Dinosaurs and Ancient Mammals from Montana to
Mongolia." Novacek talks with Steve Paulson about some
of his most famous discoveries. |

Thomas Moore is a psychologist
and philosopher. He's also the author of the best-selling
book, "The Care of the Soul". Moore has just published
the companion volume. It's called "The Soul's Religion:
Cultivating A Profoundly Spiritual Way of Life." He talks
to Anne Strainchamps about the spiritual meaning of treasure
hunting. |
