Laura Blumenfeld's father was a tourist in Jerusalem when he was shot in the head. The shooter was a member of the PLO. He had lousy aim – his victim lived. But Blumenfeld never forgot that day. In fact. She vowed to find the man responsible and take revenge. She kept her word. Her story in this hour of To the Best of Our Knowledge. Also, a one-man play delivers a message of hope for peace in Northern Ireland.

SEGMENT 1:

Laura Blumenfeld wrote a book called "Revenge: A Story of Hope." It recounts how she went to Jerusalem and sought out the family of the Palestinian man who shot her tourist father. And how she came to forgive the shooter. Also, William Ury directs the negotiation program at Harvard Law School. He tells Jim Fleming that South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission could be a model for the Middle East. He says simply being able to talk about past oppression is a powerful healing tool.

SEGMENT 2:

Peter French is the author of "The Virtues of Vengeance." He tells Anne Strainchamps the ancient Greeks thought revenge was a good thing, and analyzes the vengeance scenario of Clint Eastwood's film "Unforgiven." Also, Christine Gallagher is the author of "The Woman's Book of Revenge" and founder of revengelady.com. She tells Steve Paulson that revenge can be a healthier response than stewing over grievances, and shares some of her favorite examples of payback with Steve Paulson.
