The state Assembly minority leader is raising questions about Gov. Scott Walker’s latest state campaign finance report.

Walker reported last week that his gubernatorial campaign fund had only $20,000 in it at the end of 2015. The Republican governor raised more than a half-million dollars in the second half of last year, but spent nearly twice as much.

Minority Leader Peter Barca recently said he’s curious about where that money went.

“Obviously, it’s suspicious when we know the vast amount of his energy went into running for president,” said Barca. “It was a short-lived campaign, but he had been building for that. So obviously it raises question marks.”

Walker is supposed to soon report his progress in erasing the debt he accumulated during his two-month presidential bid.
