U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., told delegates at the Democratic National Convention that the party’s presidential nominee Hillary Clinton would fight for healthier families when she is in the White House.

In a brief speech, Baldwin said that growing up she was diagnosed with a serious illness and her family had to pay the medical bills out of pocket. That experience motivated her to run for office.

“I entered public service to fight for health care coverage for all, especially children and young adults,” she said. “Hillary Clinton has led that fight for decades.”
