General
Contact Audience Services with the following information:
- The specific station you were listening to (such as 89.3FM or WPNE)
- The program you were listening to.
- The date and time of day you heard it. If you can't remember the time, try to recall what you were doing when you heard the announcement. Were you driving to work? Eating lunch?
- Any other information about the announcement.
Music
The answer to and winner of each day's quiz can be found in the Quiz archives.
We post Classical Music Playlists to our website the day after broadcast. The list covers:
- "Morning Classics"
- "The Midday"
- "Afternoon Classics"
- "Classics By Request"
- "Sunday Classics"
- "Sunday Afternoon Live From the Chazen"
For all of our other music programs, find your station (such as WERN FM 88.7) on our Studios, Stations and Schedules page to choose the program to which you were listening and access the program listings.
- Please note that the listings for "Classical Music with Peter van de Graaf" are in Eastern Time.
- During the 8 to 9 pm hour, the music played on "Classical Music with Peter van de Graaf" is listed in the Beethoven Network playlist for 9 to 10 am of the same day.
- You can purchase items through our Amazon.com or NPR shop affiliate links. A portion of your purchase will benefit the station.
- WPR does not sell music directly.
- We archive the past two "Simply Folk" shows on the program website.
- We archive interviews from "Higher Ground" and "The Midday."
- Many classical pieces are available to listen to through YouTube or MySpace, though you may not find the same recording you heard on our air.
- You can request the piece of music for "Classics by Request."
- Due to rights restrictions, we cannot archive any other shows.
"Classics by Request," on Saturdays between 10am and 1pm, is our weekly request-based show. You can submit a request on the "Classics by Request" webpage or call it in during the program - toll free at 800-442-7106 or in Madison at 608-263-1236.
"All Things Considered," "Morning Edition," "Talk of the Nation," "On Point," "Fresh Air," or "Weekend Edition"
- Choose the program from the programs dropdown on NPR's homepage.
- Select the date of the show and view the full rundown. The musical interludes are included, with audio samples and purchase information.
Chapter A Day
Old Time Radio Drama
- The OTRD theme music is "14th Street Blues" from Leon Redbone's album Sugar, released in 1990 and still available.
An on-air announcement or as part of "The Joy Cardin Show," "The Kathleen Dunn Show," "The Larry Meiller Show," or "The Veronica Rueckert Show."
- Contact Audience Services with the following information:
- The specific station you were listening to (such as 89.3FM or WPNE)
- The program you were listening to.
- The date and time of day you heard it. If you can't remember the time, try to recall what you were doing when you heard the announcement. Were you driving to work? Eating lunch?
- Any other information about the announcement.
News
- Wisconsin stories produced by WPR reporters are posted on our WPR News site within 24 hours of airing.
- If you heard a Wisconsin story that you can't find at WPR.org, contact Audience Services. The story may have been wire copy and those stories are not archieved, but are keep on file for 30 days.
- NPR's "Morning Edition" and "All Things Considered" archive audio and summaries of their segments back to 1997. Select the date of the show and view the full rundown. The musical interludes are included, with audio samples and purchase information.
- You can listen to the last five weekday shows as WPR aired them (including local news breaks) on our archive page.
- If the news story was part of an NPR report during a newsbreak, search using keywords on NPR's website.
"Wisconsin Life" airs on our News and Classical Network Stations on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:35 and 8:35 a.m.
It airs on our Ideas Network stations on Fridays at 6:35 a.m.

Talk
Click on the show name, such as "The Larry Meiller Show," on our Program Index.
We list guest information on the program notes for each show. Select the date you heard it at the top of our Ideas Network Program Notes page and scroll down to find the specific show. If you can't recall the specific date, you can try searching for the program using keywords.
If a guest has provided their website, we'll share a link in our Ideas Network Program Notes page. Often, contact information can be found on the guest's website.
- Our hosts and producers focus primarily on taking calls and assisting the direction of the show. As such, they aren't able to capture all of the information that the guest or host may mention on-air. They do post information as they are able on the show's Facebook page. To find a show-specific page, visit our Online Community page for the Weekday Programs and Weekend Programs lists. You can also do a web search for the show name followed by "Facebook" (ex: "Larry Meiller Show Facebook").
- If you can?t find the information on Facebook, you can contact Audience Services and they will check with the host and producers.
- You can also listen to the show archive anytime.
- Use our online suggestion form or contact Audience Services. However you communicate with us, every question, comment and suggestion is read and logged. If applicable, your mail will be forwarded on to the appropriate person or department. We look forward to hearing from you!
- Because we are lucky enough to receive hundreds of suggestions a week, we aren't able to follow up on every suggestion.
- Most of our WPR-produced talk programs from the past three years and beyond are available on our archive page for free listening and downloading.
- We also offer podcasts of many of the programs we air - take a look at our Online Community page for the Weekday Programs and Weekend Programs lists.
- If you're unable to find an older WPR show, it may be in the UW-Madison Archives & Records at Steenbock Library. You can listen to materials there or arrange for duplication through a private company. Simple searches are free but the library may charge by the hour for a complex search.
- If you're unable to find a show or host in the WPR archive list, it is likely a program we have acquired from a third-party distributor. You can find a show-specific site by clicking on the show name on our Program Index.
- We sell CDs of locally produced WPR talk shows that do not include copyrighted material such as music selections or film clips. See our Radio Store page for more information.
- To The Best of Our Knowledge is our only transcribed WPR program. Transcripts will be posted on the show page the week after it airs.
- NPR provides transcripts of many of its programs on the show websites.

We do not save callers' contact information.
