Number of Adult Wisconsin Resident Respondents:  400

Interview Period: March 29 – April 7, 2006

Margin of Error: +/- 5% at the 95% confidence level.

Presidential Approval

·        37% of respondents were either “somewhat satisfied” or “very satisfied” with the job the president is doing

·        61% said they were “somewhat” or “very” dissatisfied with the job the president is doing

·        76% approval among Republicans

·        8% approval among Democrats

·        28% approval among Independents

 

 

Direction of the Country

·        24% said the country is going in the “right” direction

·        66% said the country is going in the “wrong” direction

·        52% of Republicans feel the country is going in the “right” direction

·        7% of Democrats feel the country is going in the “right” direction

·        17% of Independents feel the country is going in the “right” direction
