WPRA Board Met In DePere September 30 - October 1
The Wisconsin Public Radio Association board of
directors met at St. Norbert College in De Pere September 30 - October
1. The board is comprised of 16 elected or appointed members who
represent all Wisconsin Public Radio listeners. The WPRA board of
directors advises the radio staff on strategic planning, budgets and
finance, community outreach, and fund raising issues.
On September 30 the board was introduced to Phil
Corriveau, the new director of Wisconsin Public Radio. They also
got the latest information about listenership and fund raising efforts
from Joy Cardin, Gene Purcell, and Mary Kay Sherer; and were treated to
a recital by the Kat Trio. Later in the day board members and
staff met with major donors at Lambeau Field.
The following day during the WPRA business meeting,
the board accepted the audit report of the Fiscal Year 2004 financial
records, elected a slate of officers (President: Bernie Kubale;
Vice-President: Bill Merrick; Secretary: Joe Jopek; Treasurer:
Teri McCormick), recognized the work of Anders Yocom as interim
director and Dean Kallenbach as interim associate director of Wisconsin
Public Radio, and set the next meeting for January 28 in Madison.
