Musician Joe Jackson talks with Jim Fleming about his concept album "Heaven and Hell" which is based on the Seven Deadly Sins. He says we all have the potential for committing all the sins, and explains how hee captured the spirit of each one in music. And we hear lots of examples. John Portmann contributed to and edited the collection of essays, "In Defense of Sin." He tells Steve Paulson why, as a child, he loved going to confession. He explains why despair is the worst sin of all, and says that some modern writers talk about sin without any reference to God. Also, comedian Lewis Black is an angry man. He writes for "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and performs stand up. He talks with Jim Fleming about the fine line between playing angry and being angry, and we hear excerpts from an on–stage performance in Madison, Wisconsin.SEGMENT 3:
Food historian Stewart Lee Allen is the author of "In the Devil's Garden: A Sinful History of Forbidden Food."
