Law Enforcement Seized Crack, Heroin, Guns During Raid On Tuesday

Authorities in Kenosha announced charges against 44 suspected drug dealers on Wednesday following one of the biggest busts in the city’s history.

Law enforcement conducted raids on Tuesday on some 20 homes and apartments, resulting in the seizure of about 1,000 grams of crack and heroin. Twenty-five guns were also recovered.

Alderman Jan Michalski said he has constituents near the drug houses who were thrilled to see law enforcement move in.

“Seeing the armored cars in front of the place, and seeing that it was coming down, they were delighted. And I have heard a number of people saying, ‘Oh god, thank you, thank you,’ to the cops. ‘To you, to everybody involved, for getting rid of this scourge in our neighborhood,’” said Michalski.

Fifteen of the 44 suspects remain on the loose. Authorities say the suspects range across three levels of Gangster Disciple street gang hierarchy.
